L'ATELIER WRITERS was founded with the belief that community can be both instructive and supportive. Every community member is a valuable source of skill and experience. We expect to learn from one another and are invested in everyone's success.

The following guidelines are based upon best practices of community building and enhancing the creative process:

  1. Diversity: We welcome a broad range of experience, genres and disciplines, literary tastes, and cultural backgrounds.
  2. Collaboration: We encourage the democratization of knowledge, of the creative process, and of the authority to share this knowledge. Everyone may contribute to L’ATELIER by bringing their unique ideas, skills, and experiences.
  3. Openness: We recognize that one of the most critical aspects of fostering creativity is openness to experience. We welcome the opportunity to engage with new people, diverse ideas, varied cuisine, and unfamiliar surroundings.
  4. Problem-solving: We come together with our questions and struggles, and we leave with strategies and solutions. If at any time during L’ATELIER, you have suggestions, questions, or concerns, we are ready to problem solve with you.

We ask that when you join L’ATELIER, you engage as deeply with these community guidelines as we promise to do ourselves.
