Writers are invited to create their own L'ATELIER experience from the daily offerings.
Mornings: Breakfast is available from 8:00-9:00 a.m., but mornings are left unscheduled. Walk in the terraced gardens or find a quiet space for reading, writing, or revision.
Midday: After lunch, craft discussions address different aspects of writing like character, setting, and revision. Community members share their own practices and challenges and get feedback from the group.
Afternoons: Afternoons are left unscheduled to allow you to get back to work. There are also opportunities for individual feedback sessions with instructors.
Aperitif hour: We gather in our beautiful common room to relax after a day of hard work. Have a glass of wine or cup of tea and get to know your new writing community. Conversation, storytelling, singing, and bawdy jokes welcome.
Evening readings: Writers are invited to share their work. Whether it's your first reading or you are returning from a book tour, we encourage all forms of story and verse.
Le Diner: A traditional, four-course French dinner paired with local wines will be served in the main dining room. Conversation and cheese tasting usually last late into the evening.
